FYI: Tutorial coming as soon as I get my sewing machine around Christmas. Yeah, it’s a long story. 🙂
There’s nothing to make me smile and feel pride than to make something pretty for my daughter. She gets so stinkin’ excited when I pull out my sewing materials and buy new fabrics. She doesn’t care what I pick out. She just wants me to make something.
One of the best things about this particular style is that it’s a great project for a beginner or novice just learning how to sew. It comes together so easily and requires no zipper or button holes. The back overlaps and you simply sew on snaps!
If you shorten the skirt portion, it can be made as a tank or you can add sleeves for those colder months. Since we live in South Florida now, she’ll be wearing lots of sleeveless tops/dresses.
Keep checking back for a tutorial on this coming in the winter. Once you learn how to make this style, you can crank out a bunch of them on the weekend and fill her closet with goodies. Libby LOVES to twirl around in this one.
